Hair Removal (Female) Information & After Care Advice:

Waxing for larger area such as legs and backs will be carried out using a warm wax roller applicator which helps reduce the possibility of cross contamination between clients. Where waxing is carried out on smaller areas such as eyebrows the wax comes from a wax heater.

I have been specially trained by the waxing queen, Kim Lawless and i am fully qualified in her Female (& Male) Intimate Waxing technique using hot wax which is more gentle on the skin when removing course pubic hair.

Please note that I follow all recommended health and safety advice when removing hair. For every time I apply wax from a heater to an area on a client a new spatula will be used to avoid cross contamination... I DO NOT DOUBLE DIP!

* To advoid any embrassement please arrive for your appointment clean and smelling fresh, otherwise we may refuse to carry out your waxing.

Leg wax explained:

Half leg (lower) waxing will be completed from toes to just above the knee.

Half leg (Thigh) waxing will be completed from the top of the thigh to just above the knee.

Full leg waxing will be completed from toe to thigh (but does not include bikini line).

Female Intimate Waxing explained:

Throughout the UK, salons have given different names to the same areas being waxed. The Brazilian wax you receive in one salon may not be the same as the Brazilian that you’d receive in another. So to prevent any confusion about what hairs being removed or left I have given my waxing treatments names based on what underwear you can expect to wear and have no visible hair on show! Please read the descriptions below so that you walk out of my salon with the intimate wax job you expected.

* Commando

The Commando wax removes every single pubic hair from the back, front, inside and out. It includes the pubic triangle, the inner and outer labia, the butt crack, bottom cheeks and any noticeable hair spreading from the cheeks to the upper thigh. You could go commando becaue every hair will be gone!

* G-String

The G-String wax leaves a thin strip of pubic hair that starts at the pubic mound and ends at the clitoris. All remaining hair is removed, including the inner and outer labia, the butt crack, bottom cheeks and any noticeable hair spreading from the bottom cheeks to the upper thigh.

* Thong

The Thong wax leaves a wide strip of pubic hair that starts on the pubic mound, going down over the labia and tapers to a point as it reaches the bottom cheeks. It includes the removal of any hair inside the butt crack and any noticeable hair on the bottom cheeks.

* Tanga

The Thong wax leaves a wide strip of pubic hair that starts on the pubic mound, going down over the labia and tapers to a point as it reaches the bottom cheeks. It include the removal of any noticeable hair on the bottom cheeks but not removal of hair from inside the butt crack.

* Knickers

The Knicker wax removes pubic hair from the top of the pubic line, down either side of the pubic mound and underneath onto the bottom cheeks. So if you were to wear high leg knickers no pubic hair would be showing outside.

* Bikini

The Bikini wax removes all visible pubic hair outside of the knicker line at the front only. So if you were wearing Bikini bottoms no pubic hair would be showing.

* Bottom

The Bottom wax removes hair from just the bottom cheeks leaving all hair inside the butt crack and on the front.

Hair Removal After Care Advice:

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure you get the best results from your hair removal treatment...

It is quite common and perfectly normal to have slight soreness and pimple like small bumps or redness following hair removal these are temporary reactions and should subside within 24-48 hours.

  • Ensure to keep the waxed area clean and avoid touching.
  • No fake tans application for 24 hours.
  • Avoid wearing tight clothing (such as leggings or tights) for 24 hours.
  • Avoid extreme heat. (Hot baths/showers, steam rooms, saunas and Jacuzzi’s) for 24-48 hours.
  • No massage treatments for 24 hours.
  • Avoid exposure to UV light, including sun beds and sunbathing for 24 hours.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools for 24 hours.
  • Try and avoid exercise for 24 hours as getting sweaty could clog the hair follicles.
  • Avoid applying deodorant, anything perfumed or make-up to the waxed area for 24 hours.
  • And for those of you that have just had an intimate wax, we know that your private area is now well groomed and looks a lot sexier but we ask that you refrain from sexual intercourse for at least 24 hours after being waxed.
  • Ensure to exfoliate your skin every 4-7 days starting 2-3 days after treatment to help prevent ingrown hairs.
  • And moisturise your skin every day, which will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to break through again this can help prevent ingrown hairs!

If you do suffer from ingrown hairs I have a wonderful roller lotion called 'Aloe Clear' which is available to purchase in the salon.

How long does the hair need to be? For successful removal with best result please allow your hair to grow for between 3-4 weeks, or approximately 12mm.

What is my pubic hair is shorter than you recommend, can I still be waxed? If you hair is shorter than 12mm I will advised that you rebook for a date in the future. Waxing short hair will be more painful and the final result may not be satificatory.

How long will the waxing result last? Everyones hair grows at different rates so it really depends on your body, minimal hair growth will start to be seen within the first 3 weeks with gradual increase after that.

How often should I get waxed? When first starting out with intimate waxing I would recommend getting waxed every 4 to 5 weeks, over time you may notice that the hair growth time becomes longer allowing you to wait longer between waxing, but really the decision is yours and how long you can stand being hairy for!

Is it going to hurt? Everyones pain threshold is different, but yes you are going to experience some discormfort. I have done everything I can to make your experience as comfortable as possible, including using the best hot wax product on the market and having choosen to be trained by the best waxing expert in England. Using Kim Lawless's technique any discomfort will be minimal and over quickly. The more you wax the less painful it will become and the results will be worth it.

Will I have to remove my underwear? You will be asked to remove all clothing from the waist down unless you are having a Bikini wax and then this can be done around your underwear.

How long does the waxing appointment take? Normally I can do a Commando (Hollywood) in 30 minutes but this can vary from client to client.

Why do you choose to use Hot Wax for intimate waxing rather than strip (warm) wax? I use Perron Rigot’s hot wax as it is gentler to the skin, the supple and non-brittle wax is applied in layers which encapsulates the hair which is then removed in a single pass without the need for fabric strips. This wax is perfect for all body areas and hair types, especially short, tough hair in sensitive areas.

Any concerns immediately following your treatment please contact us on 0116 260 2000 / 07712 607936.

If you experience any spots or rashes for more than a week, please consult with your GP.

If you are new to hair removal treatments you may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments to achieve a silky smooth finish. To maintain your smooth appearance, I would recommend regular treatments every 4-6 weeks. Please do not shave or pluck between your appointments.
