Microblading Information, Preparation & After Care Advice:
I am so happy to be offering Microblading, I am working on completing my Level 4 in this amazing brow tattooing technique.
Please read the information below which are some FAQ, pre and post treatment care advice.
FAQ
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a completely safe semi-permanent tattooing treatment, carried out using a specialised manual hand tool.
Rather than giving you a block of colour like traditional tattooing, fine strokes are done by hand to create the illusion of real hairs, which is why those on the search for brow perfection prefer it.
The semi-permanent pigment is applied closely to the skins surface, which in turn leaves very fine and natural hair stroke detail, without pigment spilling under the skin, which can result in untidy strokes or blurred healing.
This amazing technique will provide you with the perfect brow design, with colour and shape options tailored to suit each individual.
Microblading is classed as a semi-permanent treatment, but with regular top-ups and great aftercare, it can last a lifetime. It's great for those with alopecia or people who've gone through chemotherapy, but also fantastic for anyone who's keen to up their brow game.
How will I know if I am suitable for Microblading?
Our Microblading technician will carry out a medical consultation to make sure you have no contra-indication which would either prevent the treatment going ahead. She will discuss your requirements, explain the procedure, and carry out a patch test, this initial appointment takes between 30-45 minutes.
Following a successful consultation, a non-refundable Booking Fee will be required to secure your appointment.
Please note: Microblading cannot be carried out on pregnant or breast-feeding ladies, insulin dependent diabetic clients, clients on Steroid or Ro-Accutane medication, and clients currently undergoing Chemotherapy.
For some medical conditions, a doctor’s note maybe required, if you are unsure please feel free to contact us to ask.
If you are planning on having anti-ageing injectable (Botox) or cosmetic surgery, please advise the technician as these procedures may alter the shape of your brows.
If you have already had Botox/Fillers or facial surgery, you are required to wait 6-8 weeks
Is Microblading painful?
The treatment can be a little uncomfortable so you may wish to apply a topical anaesthetic to the brow area at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment, and this can be purchased from your local pharmacy. It is generally used to help manage your comfort.
Do not take any aspirin, ibuprofen, or any anti-inflammatory for 48 hours prior to your treatment.
What should I expect during the procedure?
Our Microblading technician will ask you to sign a General Consent & Procedure Permit Form and confirm that your patch test result was negative.
The technician will colour test which pigment is right for your skin tone and will mark out you’re your new brow shape/design; you will be shown your new shape and this is the time for you to discuss with the technician any concerns before the Microblading starts.
Our technician will then use a special hand tool and pigment to create hairstrokes.
How soon after the treatment will I see results?
You can expect to see results immediately, but please beware that the colouring can be up to 50% darker straight after the treatment, this will fade 4-7 days after treatment. The true colour will not come through until 4-6 weeks after your procedure.
The technician will provide you with a Vitamin A&D Serum and an appropriate aftercare leaflet… it is very important that the aftercare is followed to ensure the very best result!
