Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage in Syston, Leicester

Feel lighter, less bloated, refreshed and beautifully contoured.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a specialised body massage combining lymphatic drainage techniques with rhythmic, flowing and sculpting massage movements.

Unlike traditional Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), which uses extremely slow and gentle movements, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a more dynamic treatment. The techniques encourage healthy lymphatic flow and the movement of excess fluid while working with the body's natural contours to create a smoother, more defined appearance.

Many clients find the treatment deeply relaxing and leave feeling lighter, less puffy and refreshed. Some clients may also notice a visible difference after just one treatment.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage is available at Pamper Room in Syston, Leicester and is personally carried out by Angela.

Potential Benefits

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage may help to:

  • Reduce temporary bloating, puffiness and fluid retention
  • Encourage healthy lymphatic flow
  • Create a smoother, more sculpted and defined appearance
  • Stimulate local circulation
  • Relieve feelings of heaviness and sluggishness
  • Improve the appearance of skin tone and texture
  • Temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Support normal digestive movement
  • Promote relaxation and overall wellbeing

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is not a weight-loss treatment and does not remove body fat. Reducing temporary fluid retention, bloating and puffiness may, however, leave the body looking smoother and more defined.

What Can I Expect During My Treatment?

Your treatment begins with specialised lymphatic drainage techniques designed to encourage healthy lymphatic flow and the movement of excess fluid.

These are combined with rhythmic, flowing and sculpting massage movements to stimulate local circulation, work with your body's natural contours and create a smoother, more defined appearance.

Some of the sculpting movements are firmer and more stimulating than traditional lymphatic drainage, but the treatment shouldn't be painful.

Your treatment will always be adapted to your comfort, so please let me know at any point if you would like the pressure adjusted.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage vs Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Although they have similar names, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage and traditional Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) aren't the same treatment.

Traditional MLD uses extremely slow, light and methodical movements.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage incorporates more dynamic, rhythmic and sculpting techniques, making it particularly popular with clients looking for the wellbeing benefits of lymphatic massage alongside visible body-contouring effects.

Will I See Results After One Treatment?

Many clients notice a difference after their first treatment, particularly in reduced puffiness or bloating, increased body definition and an overall feeling of lightness.

Everyone responds differently, however, and results depend on factors including your individual body, lifestyle, hydration and how much fluid you are retaining at the time.

The reduction in fluid retention isn't permanent because your body is constantly regulating fluid. Hydration, diet, alcohol, exercise, travel, hormones and lifestyle can all influence how much fluid your body retains.

Regular treatments may help maintain the appearance and feeling achieved following your treatment.

How Often Should I Have Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?

There is no set schedule — every body and every client's goals are different. Some clients may choose treatments closer together initially, while for general wellbeing I usually recommend approximately every 4–6 weeks, or simply whenever you feel your body would benefit from a reset.

Your treatment frequency should work around you, your lifestyle and your budget. There is absolutely no need to commit to frequent appointments to enjoy the benefits of the treatment.

Before a Wedding, Holiday or Special Occasion

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage can be a lovely treatment before a wedding, holiday, photoshoot or special event if you'd like to feel less puffy and more defined.

If this is your first treatment, I recommend not leaving your first appointment until immediately before an important event, so you already know how your body responds.

Post-Surgical Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is sometimes recommended as part of recovery following certain cosmetic or surgical procedures.

Where appropriate, gentle lymphatic techniques may help manage post-operative swelling and fluid accumulation and complement the body's natural recovery process.

Post-surgical treatment requires additional consideration. The type of surgery, how recently it was performed, your healing and your surgeon's instructions must all be taken into account.

Please contact me before booking a post-surgical treatment. Medical clearance from your surgeon or healthcare professional may be required before treatment can take place.

As a general guide, it is suggested that you wait approximately six weeks following surgery, although your individual circumstances and medical advice must always take priority.

Who Should Avoid Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage isn't suitable for everyone, and a consultation will be completed before your first treatment.

Treatment may need to be avoided or postponed if you have:

  • An active infection, fever or are generally unwell
  • A current or suspected DVT/blood clot
  • Serious heart or kidney conditions
  • Active cancer or are currently undergoing cancer treatment
  • Unexplained swelling or oedema
  • Certain lymphatic or autoimmune conditions
  • Certain acute skin conditions
  • Any condition for which a healthcare professional has advised against massage

Other conditions, medication, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, varicose veins, recent surgery or other health concerns may require your treatment to be adapted or medical clearance obtained.

If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have an existing medical condition or take regular medication, please contact me before booking so I can check whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

If you're unsure about anything, please contact me before booking and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Very little preparation is needed, but a few simple things can help you get the most from your treatment:

  • Arrive comfortably hydrated
  • Avoid a very large or heavy meal immediately beforehand
  • Avoid excessive alcohol before your appointment
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing afterwards
  • Tell me about any medication, medical conditions, recent surgery or changes to your health
  • Please rearrange your appointment if you're feeling unwell or have an active infection

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Aftercare

Following your treatment, your body will continue naturally regulating fluid.

To support your body and get the most from your treatment:

  • Stay hydrated – drink water regularly throughout the remainder of the day without forcing excessive amounts
  • Keep gently active – a walk is ideal, as normal muscle movement naturally supports lymphatic flow
  • Avoid excessive alcohol immediately following treatment
  • Eat normally and choose balanced meals – very salty foods can contribute to temporary fluid retention
  • Avoid very strenuous exercise immediately afterwards if you're feeling particularly relaxed or tired
  • Wear comfortable clothing and avoid anything unnecessarily restrictive around the treatment areas
  • Listen to your body and rest if you feel you need to

How Might I Feel Afterwards?

Most clients simply feel lighter, relaxed and refreshed following their treatment.

You may also temporarily experience:

  • Increased urination
  • Reduced puffiness and bloating
  • A feeling of lightness
  • Deep relaxation
  • Mild tiredness or sleepiness
  • Thirst

Everyone responds differently and these effects are usually temporary.

If you experience an unexpected or persistent reaction following your treatment, please contact Pamper Room on 0116 260 2000 for advice.

Significant pain, unusual or worsening swelling, shortness of breath or feeling seriously unwell isn't considered a normal massage response and should be assessed promptly by an appropriate healthcare professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage help with bloating?

It may be particularly helpful when the feeling or appearance of bloating is associated with temporary fluid retention.

Persistent, painful or unexplained abdominal bloating should always be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.

Will Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage help me lose weight?

No. Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is not a weight-loss treatment and does not remove body fat.

Reducing temporary fluid retention, bloating and puffiness can make the body appear smoother and more defined, which is why some clients notice a visible difference following treatment.

Can Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage help with cellulite?

The combination of massage, local circulation and a temporary reduction in fluid retention may leave the skin looking smoother and can temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite.

It does not permanently remove cellulite.

Will I need to use the toilet more afterwards?

Possibly! Increased urination can occur following lymphatic drainage as your body naturally regulates fluid.

This is generally temporary, so simply continue drinking water normally and stay comfortably hydrated.

Is Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage painful?

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage shouldn't be painful.

Some of the sculpting movements are firmer and more stimulating than traditional lymphatic drainage, but your treatment will always be adapted to your comfort.

How long will the results last?

Results vary from person to person.

Your body is constantly regulating fluid, and factors including hydration, diet, alcohol, exercise, travel, hormones and lifestyle can all influence how much fluid your body retains.

Regular treatments may help maintain the appearance and feeling achieved following your treatment.
