Deep Tissue Massage in Syston, Leicester
Target stubborn muscular tension with a deeper, more focused massage.
Deep Tissue Massage is a firm, targeted treatment designed to work on areas of muscular tightness and tension using slower massage movements, sustained pressure and more focused techniques.
Rather than simply applying heavy pressure over the whole body, your massage is tailored to where you hold tension and how your body feels on the day. This allows me to spend more time working on the areas that need attention while adapting the depth and pressure to suit you.
Deep Tissue Massage is available at Pamper Room in Syston, Leicester and is personally carried out by Angela.

Is Deep Tissue Massage Right for Me?
Deep Tissue Massage could be a good choice if you:
- Prefer a firmer massage
- Regularly experience muscular tightness or tension
- Have particular areas you'd like me to concentrate on
- Feel tight through your back, neck or shoulders
- Experience muscular tension through your legs
- Want something more targeted than a general relaxation massage
- Enjoy deeper, slower massage techniques
You don't need to know exactly which muscles are causing the problem before you arrive. We'll discuss how you're feeling and the areas you'd like me to concentrate on before your treatment begins.
Not sure which massage to choose?
What Is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep Tissue Massage uses slow, deliberate massage movements together with deeper pressure and targeted techniques to work on muscular tension.
The treatment can incorporate techniques such as sustained pressure, slower strokes and friction across areas of muscular tightness.
Although the massage is deeper than a traditional relaxation massage, deep tissue shouldn't simply mean “as hard as possible.”
Effective treatment is about using appropriate pressure and techniques for your individual body, rather than making the massage unnecessarily uncomfortable.
What Can I Expect During My Treatment?
Before your massage begins, we'll discuss where you're experiencing tension, which areas you'd particularly like me to work on and whether there are any areas you'd prefer me to avoid.
Your treatment will then be tailored accordingly.
I use slower, more focused massage movements and deeper pressure where appropriate, spending additional time on areas of muscular tightness and tension.
Some areas may feel more sensitive than others, particularly where you're carrying a lot of tension. I'll adapt the pressure throughout your treatment, so please tell me if you'd like it adjusted at any time.
Full Body or Targeted Deep Tissue Massage?
You can choose from three treatment lengths depending on what you'd like me to work on.
Full Body Deep Tissue Massage – 80 Minutes | £70
Choose the 80-minute treatment if you'd like a comprehensive full-body Deep Tissue Massage with time to work more thoroughly across multiple areas.
Targeted Deep Tissue Massage – 60 Minutes | £58
The 60-minute treatment allows us to concentrate on the areas that need the most attention rather than trying to cover the entire body.
For example, we could focus on your back together with the backs of your legs, or another combination of areas depending on where you're experiencing tension.
Targeted Deep Tissue Massage – 30 Minutes | £40
The 30-minute treatment is ideal when you'd like to concentrate on one particular area, such as your back.
If you're unsure which duration would be most appropriate, please contact me before booking.
Deep Tissue Massage vs Holistic Massage – Which Should I Choose?
Both treatments can be relaxing, but they have a different emphasis.
Holistic Massage is a great choice if your main aim is to switch off, unwind and enjoy a relaxing full-body massage using flowing massage movements.
Deep Tissue Massage is more appropriate if you prefer firmer pressure or want your treatment to concentrate more specifically on muscular tightness and tension.
If you want relaxation and have particular areas of tension, don't worry — Deep Tissue Massage doesn't have to be uncomfortable to be effective. Your treatment can still be relaxing while giving additional attention to the areas that need it.
Does Deep Tissue Massage Hurt?
Deep Tissue Massage can feel intense in areas where you're particularly tight, but the treatment shouldn't feel unbearably painful.
Deeper isn't automatically better.
I'll work within a pressure that is appropriate for you, and you're always encouraged to tell me if you'd like more or less pressure.
Some people experience temporary tenderness following a deeper massage, particularly when an area has received more focused work. This should generally settle naturally.
How Often Should I Have a Deep Tissue Massage?
There isn't one schedule that's right for everyone.
Some clients book Deep Tissue Massage when they notice tension beginning to build, while others incorporate massage into their regular wellbeing routine.
How often you choose to visit will depend on factors such as how your body feels, your lifestyle, the type of work you do, activity levels, your individual goals and, of course, what is practical for you.
There is no requirement to commit to frequent appointments. We can simply discuss what may be appropriate for you following your treatment.

No. You don't need to have an injury to enjoy Deep Tissue Massage.
Many clients simply prefer firmer pressure or choose it because they regularly experience muscular tightness and want a more focused treatment.
Can I ask you to concentrate on one particular area?
Absolutely.
Your treatment is tailored to you. The 30 and 60-minute options are particularly suited to targeted massage where you want me to spend the appointment concentrating on specific areas.

No. “Deep tissue” doesn't mean I automatically use maximum pressure. Your massage will be adapted to your comfort and the area being treated.

Choose 60 minutes when you'd like more extensive targeted work or want to concentrate on several related areas.
