Aftercare – Ear Candling
Following your Ear Candling treatment and facial drainage massage, you may feel particularly relaxed, so allow yourself a little time to enjoy that feeling after your appointment.
For the next 24–48 hours:
- Avoid inserting anything into the ear canal, including cotton buds.
- Avoid swimming or deliberately submerging your ears in water.
- Protect your ears from very cold or windy conditions where possible.
- Stay normally well hydrated and rest if you feel particularly relaxed or tired.
- Avoid attempting to remove wax or debris from inside the ear yourself.
If you experience persistent ear pain, unusual discharge, noticeable changes to your hearing, dizziness or any other symptoms that concern you, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
Ear Candling is offered as a complementary wellbeing treatment and should not be used to diagnose or treat an ear condition. If you have an ongoing problem with your ears or hearing, please consult your GP, pharmacist, audiologist or another appropriate healthcare professional.
