Hair Removal

I offer three types of hair removal, waxing, threading and plucking.

Threading and plucking as alone treatments are carried out on the facial area, waxing it carried out all over the body.

Waxing

Warm wax is used to quickly and effectively remove unwanted hair.

For larger area such as legs and backs the wax will be applied using a warm wax roller applicator which helps reduce the possibility of cross contamination between clients.

Where waxing is carried out on smaller areas such as eyebrows and underarms warm (strip) wax or Hot (non-strip) wax will be applied from a wax heater.

Please note: I never double dip a spatulas this help maintain good hygiene and again prevents cross contamination.

Threading

A preferred hair removal technique for a number of reasons, threading removes one clean line of hair all at once, making it much quicker and easier, ideal for shaping eyebrows.

Where needed trimming of longer brow hairs will be carried out.
Threading is much gentler to the skin so makes an idea treatment for clients with sensitive skin.

Plucking

The use of tweezers to remove unwanted hair.

FAQ

I want to removal hair from a number of different body areas, do I have to book each separately? No, I offer hair removal bundles. Bundles enable me to adjust the treatment time accordingly and therefore able to pass on the time saving. Please take a look at the section on my booking app. If you can't find a suitable bundle please contact me and I will do my best to accommodate you.

How long does the hair need to be? For successful removal with best result please allow your hair to grow for between 3-4 weeks, or approximately 10mm.

Does facial hair have to be 10mm? Facial hair can be removed successfully if it is shorter than 10mm, however a variety of removal methods may be used to gain a satisfactory final result.

Will you trim my brow hair? Yes, if you have long brow hairs that are distracting the shape i will trim the hairs using scissors. I also carry out just brow trimming if the hairs are long but you do not wish to hair any hair removal done.

How long will the waxing result last? Everyone's hair grows at different rates so it really depends on your body, and body area. Minimal hair growth will start to be seen within the first 3 weeks with gradual increase after that.

How often should I get waxed? This depends on the area and how well you cope with hair being visible, facial hair can be removed from 2 weeks if it is long enough, body hair I would recommend getting waxed every 4 to 6 weeks, over time you may notice that the hair growth time becomes longer allowing you to wait longer between waxing, but really the decision is yours and how long you can stand being hairy for!

Is it going to hurt? Everyone's pain threshold is different, but yes you are going to experience some discomfort. I have done everything I can to make your experience as comfortable as possible, including using the best hot wax product on the market and having chosen to be trained by the best waxing expert in England.

How long does the waxing appointment take? It depend on the area being waxed and the number of areas, when booking online it will give you a guide to how long the appointment is booked out for. Generally speaking, I can wax eyebrows in 10 minutes and legs in 30 minutes.

It is important to me that I make your hair removal experience as comfortable as possible, from pain to dignity so if you have any question prior to or after your treatment please feel free to contact me.

 * Avoid wearing tight clothing (such as leggings or tights) for 24 hours.

 * Avoid extreme heat. (Hot baths/showers, steam rooms, saunas and Jacuzzi’s) for 24 hours.

 * Ensure to exfoliate your skin every 4-7 days starting 2-3 days after treatment. For best results try using a dry body brush and gently but firmly brush all over the areas you get waxed.

 * Ensure you moisturise your skin every day, which will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to break through.

These 2 steps can help prevent ingrown hairs!

Any concerns immediately following your treatment please contact me.

If you experience any spots or rashes for more than a week, please consult with your GP.

If you are new to hair removal treatments you may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments to achieve a silky smooth finish. To maintain your smooth appearance, I would recommend regular treatments every 4-6 weeks. Please do not shave or pluck between your appointments.
