Every Gel Polish treatment at Pamper Room includes filing and shaping of the natural nails and cuticle grooming, followed by the professional application and curing of your chosen colour for a smooth, glossy finish.

There is a wide selection of colours available, from understated neutrals and classic shades to something much brighter.

I use Halo Gel Polish, a professional gel polish system that is vegan and cruelty-free, with a wide choice of colours and finishes.

How Long Does Gel Polish Last?

Everyone's nails are different, so wear time varies depending on your natural nails, lifestyle, occupation and aftercare.

As a general guide, around 10 days is a good expectation, although some clients may achieve closer to two weeks.

Gel Polish isn't indestructible, so using your nails as tools, prolonged exposure to water or chemicals, picking, and everyday wear and tear can all affect how long your polish lasts.

If the condition of your natural nails is your main concern, IBX offers a different approach to Builder Gel.

IBX is a professional nail-strengthening system designed to work within the natural nail rather than simply sitting on top as a coating. It can be useful for nails that are weak, peeling, splitting or damaged, and can be used as a standalone natural nail treatment or as part of an ongoing nail-care programme.

IBX or Builder Gel – Which Do I Need?

Although both can be chosen when you're concerned about the strength of your nails, they work differently.

IBX focuses on the condition and integrity of the natural nail itself.

Builder Gel creates an external layer of additional strength and structure over the natural nail. In some circumstances, IBX can also be incorporated alongside other professional nail services. If you're unsure which option is most appropriate for the condition of your nails, I'm happy to advise you.

If you love having polished nails but feel your natural nails need a little more support than Gel Polish alone provides, Builder Gel may be the better choice.

At Pamper Room I use Halo EasiBuild Builder Gel, a professional builder-gel system applied over the natural nail to provide additional strength and structure.

You may have heard treatments like this commonly referred to as BIAB or BIAB-style nails. BIAB is actually a particular brand name; at Pamper Room, the professional Builder Gel system I use is Halo EasiBuild.

What Is Builder Gel?

Builder Gel is thicker and more structured than standard Gel Polish.

Rather than simply adding colour, it creates an additional layer over your natural nail, helping to provide strength and support while allowing you to enjoy beautifully finished nails. My Builder Gel service focuses on supporting and enhancing your own natural nails rather than creating long nail extensions. As with all of my nail services, Builder Gel preparation, filing, shaping and removal is carried out by hand – I don't use an e-file.

Who Is Builder Gel For?

Builder Gel may be a good choice if:

• your natural nails need more support than Gel Polish alone provides
• you find your nails tend to bend or flex
• you're trying to grow your own natural nails
• you prefer a stronger, more structured feel
• you like the appearance of Builder Gel or BIAB-style nails but want to keep your natural nail length

The main difference is the additional structure.

Choose Halo Gel Polish if your natural nails are generally in good condition and you primarily want long-lasting glossy colour.

Choose Builder Gel if you want additional strength and structure over your natural nails.

If your feet need more than simply polished toenails, my Footlogix Prescriptive Pedicure combines professional foot care with the relaxing elements of a traditional pedicure.

Your feet are assessed so appropriate Footlogix products can be selected according to the condition and needs of your skin.

The treatment includes detailed nail and cuticle care, exfoliation, hard-skin reduction and a relaxing foot and lower-leg massage, helping leave your feet feeling softer, smoother and beautifully cared for.

Choose to keep your toenails natural or complete your treatment with your favourite Halo Gel Polish colour.

A proper pampering treatment for your hands.

If you want more than simply filed and polished nails, my Deluxe Manicure includes additional hand and skin care for a more relaxing treatment.

Your nails are reshaped and your cuticles groomed before your hands are bathed and gently exfoliated. A moisture-restoring hand mask is then applied and your hands are placed into heated mitts, followed by a relaxing massage of the hands and forearms.
